Callum Cairns is Little Rivers
Born in Belfast from jazz clarinet and a fascination with poetry, Little Rivers began as a tentative response to the end of a first love. With support slots for Soak and Rams' Pocket Radio, the quiet releases of both the We, I EP and the eponymous follow up attracted national recognition alongside a growing boldness and depth of songwriting.
Following four years immersed in Liverpool's electronic music scene, amongst the lights and bursts of colour, the Weights EP is a response to the blossoming of new love. The expansive instrumentation and textures showcase a forward step in Little Rivers' maturity; a new cinematic sound for the heights of affection, and the depths of anxious self-doubt.
